Republicans Vow Repeal Effort Against Health Bill

A health care bill has finally been passed! Only, of course we are now expected to face the party-to-party criticisms, mainly the ones being directed from the Republicans to the Democrats. Today, Republicans began a campaign to repeal the new legislation and to use this as a weapon in the upcoming and highly awaited midterm elections. Republicans are proclaiming faithfully that they will not let this Democratic legislation last and they will reform it according to their own standards. On the other hand, Democrats have been very proud of their tremendous achievement. Nancy Pelosi even related to the health care legislation to our Founding Fathers, in that it "gives all people in our country the liberty to have healthier lives." The Democrats are asking that Republicans back down from their insulting regime toward the Democrats and be glad that legislation is in effect at all, and also that their consitutents can finally receive proper health care. It was proposed to tax the leaders of organized labor-which is quite a risky move for the middle-class that already has strong union-sponsored benefits plans. If Senate Republicans were able to block this change from the House Democrats, it would indeed cause immense political controversy for Obama. Mitch McConnell stated that the Democrats want to "make the tax hikes even higher, the Medicare cuts even deeper." Truly, these variances in beliefs from both parties provides quite a headache for the American public and all other politicians, including President Obama. It even resulted in violence around the country, as glass doors were shattered, offices were vandalized, threats were issues, etc. As of now, the Republicans will continue to fight against this bill, as they believe it "violates the U.S. Constitution and infringes on each state's sovereignty." Yes, the bill that we never thought would pass has finally been signed. However, will the health care debate between Democrats and Republicans ever come to an end?
