President Obama is set to sign the new health care bill with all of the changes. The signing will take place in a community college in northern Virginia. Changes to the bill include expanding health insurance subsidies for lower and middle class families. The overall cost for health care reform legislation changed from $940 billion over the next ten years to an additional $65 billion. Another change is that student loans have moved away from commercial banks. The changes to the bill passed in the house last Thursday in a 220-207 vote in the House of Representatives without any backing from the Republicans. The GOP believes that this change will not slow down the cost of medical services, and will cut necessary medical services. The different views in the health care bill is displaying the deeply divided and growing views between conservative Republicans and liberal Democrats. The health care bill has been on President Obama's agenda for a while now and is still proving to be difficult to pass and get approved.
