President Obama chose to speak at an all black church at the nation's capital about the issues regarding health care reform and his eagerness to get the wheels turning faster. This is noteworthy because President Obama has not been to church very often since he has been elected. This intertwining of government and religious affairs may not have appealed to those attending the congregation, and may have rubbed them the wrong way. These people attended the service to hear the words of God, and in addition heard the words of their President.
This could be seen in a way as a lack of separation between Church and State. Mr. Obama also spoke about blacks and whites investing themselves in reality television, doing anything to become a celebrity. This is interesting because President Obama took a stand as a regular person instead of being seen as our President. In this way, he can be seen as a Superman and an Every man.
