As of Monday, new guidelines have been established for medical screening regarding Breast Cancer. A decrease in medical attentiveness has been set by the panel that establishes these guidelines, an odd change in pace considering. Due to these suggestions, regular Breast Cancer screening will be started at age 50 and continued done every two years instead of the previous age 40 and yearly examination. As well, it tells doctors to stop teaching woman to stop performing self-examinations. This radical leap has been the biggest leap since the 2002 announcement by Tommy G. Thompson for the, now changed, guidelines for mammograms.
Health care has been thought to be a governmental crutch for the old, injured, poor, etc. but that the ultimate responsibility relies in the individual. This panel's decision might be the beginning of an "Entitlement Revolution." A change of governmental handling of Health care such as: Increasing of age required for Social Security, or people risking their Social Security on the stock market. This change in ideology might represent the future health care of the American Health Care system.
